Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Instructor

– Full Time and Part Time Positions available

 

This position requires a background in security and or law enforcement or military service, with a significant amount of verifiable, documented training experience.  This position will provide Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection training to United States Navy serving the Pacific Fleet

 

Training consists of:

 Watch Standing

Firearms Fundamentals Training with – Pistols, Rifles, and Shotguns

Non-Lethal Defensive Tactics - OC, Baton, Hand to hand

Apprehension and Control Tactics - Handcuffing, Arm-bars, Wristlocks

CQB Tactics - Building clearing / Dynamic training using Simmunition Cartridges

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT:
• Military Security Law Enforcement experience, preferably with instructor training. 
Minimum Requirements:

 

4 Years of law enforcement and/or military experience

2 Years of Firearms or Defensive Tactics or SWAT/CQB training experience; and

 

Documented completion of ONE of the following:

Naval Force Protection Course (ASC, FPFT, SRFB, SRFA, TRASUP)

NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Course (any discipline); or

USN Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor CIN: A-041-0148 (SAMI); or

USAF Combat Arms Apprentice Course; or

 

Any state certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Course; or

USMC Primary Marksmanship Instructor (MOS 8531); or

USMC Small Arms Weapons Instructor (MOS 8532); or

USMC Marine Cadre Instructor (MOS 8153); or

FLETC Small Arms Instructor Course

 

• Physically fit to meet Navy Physical Readiness Test (PRT) standards, 2nd Class Swimmer.
• Successful completion of a structured interview with an authorized professional staff interviewer.
• After six months of demonstrated competence under supervision, instructors are eligible for tenure if all employment conditions have been met.

* Instructors may be hired without completing the PRT requirement; however, they must commit to taking and passing them. Each year, instructors must attempt at least one PRT and must be fully certified drug-free.


 

DUTIES SUMMARY:
* Under the supervision and general direction of Magnum’s administrator and in consultation with a Navy course lead, organizes and presents materials and situations in the most effective way possible to motivate students to achieve learning objectives
* Devises methods to reinforce responses
* Develops short and long range objectives, articulation with congruent grades or subject matter.

COMPENSATION:
• $23.55 per hour.
