Abstract
The Deadly Use of Deadly Force Decision making course is designed around State of Hawaii and current federal laws for the law abiding armed citizens in the judicious use of deadly force in self defense.
The class is devoted to the tactical and legal issues of defending oneself and third parties with deadly force. The main point for this class centers around when you should utilized deadly force." The primary objective is to understand the physical and mental problems associated with the justification process and developing a strategy and mindset that allow you to cope with making the proper decision under life-threatening stress. All the time remaining reasonably defensible in a court of law. Selection of firearms, ammunition, and holsters and other accessories are covered but not emphasized
Overview
Scenarios are used to develop an understanding and formulate strategies when confronted with a deadly force incident. How to interact with responding and interrogating police officers. How to deal with witnesses at the scene of a deadly force incident. Other scenarios covers tactics for dealing with armed robbers, home invasions, sexual assaults, vehicle highjacking, and other assailants.

- Psychological and Physical skills preparation for violent encounters

Prerequisite: Introduction to the Use of Deadly Force course graduate or graduate of a nationally recognized Use of Force course of 8 hours or more in length. No exceptions! Must be approved by instructor prior to enrollment. Copy of certifications for the above must be submitted prior to enrollment.
Ammunition 200 rounds factory new ammunition is required.
Recommended Equipment List:
- Quality Semi-Auto Pistol in one of the following calibers:
- .380, 9mm NATO, .357 SIG, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP
- 3 magazines minimum
- Belt mounted, dominant side concealment
- Magazine Pouches
- Sturdy Belt at least 1.5" wide
- Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning.
- Clothing suitable for training . Pants must have belt loops. It is highly recommended you bring a variety of your personal concealment clothing items to this course.
- Hat with a brim
- Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
- Earmuffs and earplugs
